BEVERAGE RECIPES (SOYA BEAN MILK)

 Soy milk it's mostly used as a beverage which can be sweetened and served hot or cold as tea for breakfast or anytime.
Note: Soya bean milk and soya bean powder are totally different.
Soy milk is the most nutritious and best protein source because it has well balanced amino acid levels than other vegetable sources. It is rich in essential fatty acids, amino acids like lysine and methionine, fiber, vitamins and minerals. This is one drink which is highly essential for kids due to its nutritious benefits and can also be taken by diabetic patients. 
Ingredients
-          2 cup Soya beans
-          Water - As desired                                   
-           Sugar/ Honey - As desired
-          Flavor essence - Optional
 Method
    -          Soak the Soya bean seeds in water and leave for 6 hours, preferably overnight.
    -          Drain and rinse the seeds with clean water. Rub the seeds between your hands to de-haul it till the skin peels off (Just the same way beans is de-hauled for moi moi ). This process is very important as the skin is more of fiber and insoluble.  Sieve out the chaff and rinse with clean water several times. Pour the washed seeds into a blender, Add some water and blend till smooth.
-           Place the Sieve with handle on the pot and place the pap sieve cloth within. Gently pour the blended soya bean slurry into the pap sieve. Squeeze the Liquid filtrated into the pot. The chaff can be reused by placing in the blender again with water, blending and squeezing till all the milk is extracted.
    -          Place the pot with the filtered soya milk on fire and cook on low heat for about 15-20mins till it starts to boil. While it cooks, keep stirring because it has the tendency to curdle if you don't, then Sieve once more (Hot filtration) to remove the insoluble soy pulp fiber (Okara) and leave to cool.  
     -        Add your sugar and flavor essence and mix.
You can serve warm or refrigerate and Serve Cold.

 Soya beans powder is very nutritious and best protein source because it has well balanced amino acid levels than other vegetable sources. It is rich in essential fatty acids, amino acids like lysine and methionine, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Mix soya beans powder with pap together and milk, in order to provide the baby necessary nutrients needed for a growing.

BURKINA FASO RECIPES: FISH STEW WITH VEGETABLE (MAAN NEZIM NZEDO)

Ingredients:
-  Fish stew with vegetables
-  1/4 pint vegetable oil
-  2 level teaspoons salt
-  1 and 1/2 lb. fresh-water fish (bream or roach preferred)
-  1 packet frozen okra or 1/2 lb. tinned okra, pods cut in halves

-  1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

BURKINA FASO RECIPES (BANFORA WELSH CAKES)

Ingredients:     -   200g sugar
-   100g dried and diced pineapple
-   500g self-raising flour
-   250g margarine
-   2 eggs
-   Little milk
-   Pinch of salt

Method  
    -         Sieve flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut up margarine and rub in with fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
    -         Add sugar and fruit and stir in beaten eggs, mix to a stiff dough, add a drop of milk if necessary.
    -         Place on a floured surface, knead lightly and using an empty glass bottle, roll out thinly to 5mm thickness.
   -         Cut into 6cm rounds. Use margarine to lightly grease a griddle and cook over a slow heat until golden brown on both sides.
     -         Cool on a wire rack. Serve fresh.
