TOGO RECIPES (GROUNDNUT SOUP WITH CHICKEN)

                                                       

Groundnut soup with chicken is another togolese recipe that is enjoyed  all the time. It is prepared with ground groundnut just like melon soup. It is very delicious.         Ingredient                  240g peanut butter.                  3 fresh tomatoes.                  2 medium onion, chopped                  Chicken, cut into serving pieces, browned by frying and seasoned.                  1 small tin tomato paste                   Stock cube                   Water                   Salt and pepper to taste. -         In a sizeable pot or saucepan, add onion and water together with peanut butter and tomato paste.    -         Cook on a lower heat until the oil from the peanut butter starts coming out  to the surface of the sauce.    -         Add the chicken, cook for six minutes before adding fresh  tomatoes, add seasoning.     -         Stir and cover, in a low heat, allow to cook for about 20-25 minutes.     -         Check if the chicken is tender; that means it is ready.
