This Swahili dish makes a good snack and can be served
for breakfast.
Ingredient

2 cups flour
-
1tablespoon plain yoghurt
-
2 cup sugar
-
1 cup water for the syrup
-
11/2 cups of water
for the batter

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Method
-
In a mixing bowl, add the flour, oil,
yeast and yoghurt mix all the ingredients with a cup of water.

Then the syrup will be prepare while
mixing the batter add 2 cup of sugar with a cup of water when done turn off the
mixer.

Boil the syrup until it becomes sticky,
then turn off the stove and remove from heat cover the batter and let it rise,
it will puffed up.

Take some dough with the palm of your hand
and start squeezing out some batter to make kaimati bells.

Squeeze out the batter between your
thumb and your index finger, becareful sometimes when you drop in the kaimati
ball the oil splashes up at your hand and gentle turn remove and place.

Gently turn the kaimaties around to coat
with syrup and serve with coffee or tea.
