Method

With
a sizeable pot, simmer onion and garlic with vegetable oil.

Add
berbere, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes at low heat while adding a
dash of water to avoid sticking.

Add
the remaining water and carefully whisk in shiro powder a teaspoon at a time until
completely combined.
-
Let
it cook until it becomes thick, but runny for about 25 minutes at low heat.
-
Add a spoon of Niter Kibe.
