LIBERIA RECIPES (FUFU - DUMBOY)

In Liberia, fufu is usually made from dried and fermented cassava root; while dumboy is made from fresh cassava.

Ingredient

   -         Cassava

   -         Water

Things To Use

   -         Wooden mortar

   -         Pastle

Method

    -         Bring the cassava, peeled and chopped. Wash with a clean water

    -         Put in a sizeable pot, cover it with water and boil on medium heat for about 20minutes.

    -         After 20minutes it will become tender, filter the water out and mash with a fork

    -         Turn the mixture in wooden mortar and pound until mixture is smooth.

    -         Serve with any type of soup.
