Sossi soya stew is a popular brand of soya
pieces available in Kenya. Adding a few
ingredients can make the dish more delicious as one of the best substitutes for
meat. It is a good source of protein and carbohydrates.
Ingredients

table spoon oil
-
1
large onion chopped
-
Sossi
Pieces 45g
-
1
small ginger – crushed
-
2
cup pishori rice
-
2
table spoon tomato paste
-
2
cloves garlic – crushed
-
½
tea spoon pilau masala
-
3
cups hot water
Method
-
Put oil and onions in a sizable pan
to cook until golden.

Add
ginger and garlic, allow to cook for 1
minute.

Lower
heat, add pilau masala and tomato paste. Mix well.

Add
Sossi, stir thoroughly, then add water to cook the rice, increase heat and
bring to boil.

Add
rice to boiling water and leave to boil until water dries up
-
Cover
the pot, lower heat and allow rice to steam until ready.
